The Philippines has long ranked among the top destinations for Chinese steel exports — USD 90 million in 2025 under the towers and lattice category alone. Factories, warehousing, cold stores and agri-processing keep expanding, and because the country sits in the West Pacific typhoon belt, wind load is usually the governing case. That is exactly the part a Chinese supplier must get right against local codes.
The structural priority in the Philippines: wind
Basic wind speeds reach 250–270 km/h across much of the country. Roof uplift, purlin capacity and connection strength decide whether a building survives — not the columns. We take wind parameters per NSCP and detail the roof system specifically for uplift.
- Denser purlin-to-sheet fixing, with corner and ridge zones reinforced per wind pressure zones
- Uplift-rated fasteners at purlin-to-frame connections to prevent pull-out under negative pressure
- Eave, gable and parapet flashings detailed against blow-off to avoid progressive failure
Seismic, corrosion and envelope
The Philippines lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, so we design to NSCP seismic provisions with ductile connection detailing. Heat, humidity and coastal salt air mean the envelope and corrosion protection must be upgraded at the same time.
- Seismic: parameters per NSCP zone and site class, with a clear bracing load path
- Corrosion: hot-dip galvanizing recommended for coastal C4–C5; premium coatings inland
- Envelope: wet tropical climate — roof pitch and drainage detailed to avoid standing water
- Cold store / food: PU edge-sealed or rock wool panels for insulation, moisture and fire performance
Delivery and logistics: Shanghai to Manila or Cebu
Detailing and fabrication are done at our Shanghai and Jiangsu plants. Knocked-down members ship to Manila South or North Harbour, Cebu or Davao, with member marking, packing lists and erection drawings, plus export documentation support.
- Detailing 7–10 days, fabrication 25–35 days, sea freight 5–10 days
- FOB / CIF / DAP; third-party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged
- High loading density keeps container count low for the tonnage, cutting landed cost
